The cafe picture in Christchurch changed substantially in the year 2011. What at one time existed as a defined city centre with cafes, eateries and retailers, now Christchurch has witnessed its cafes dispersed around the community drawing inhabitants and visitors to pretty much all sections of the city. It is just the thing for the suburbanisation of Christchurch as a number of suburbs had been lacking developed areas of local independently owned stores and cafes.
