Dark Chocolate Happens To Be Healthier Option

Friday, March 12th, 2010

Ask anyone what their favorite guilty pleasure is, and the overwhelming response will be chocolate. We just can’t get enough of the stuff; milk, white, fruity, we love all of it. All we need now is a healthy chocolate do we can enjoy it without the guilt.

Well you probably didn’t know this but there is, and it still contains the good stuff such as the minerals and antioxidants. It doesn’t however, have all the bad stuff in it.

This is dark chocolate, which is basically chocolate without all the fattening ingredients such as milk solids and cocoa butter and a bucket load of sugar! There is a low fat, bitter chocolate which is even better for you, but there’s one thing that you should know.

This is a very strange fact; our body doesn’t see chocolate as a food. It’s just a carrier to bring all the sugars etc into our body which we them hang on to, dispelling the good stuff like the minerals without getting any benefit from them.

It’s a little known fact that dark chocolate has a very high iron content; so a perfect complement is food such a blueberries which are rich in vitamin C. This balances the nutrition and makes sure that your body absorbs the iron from the chocolate properly, and tastes delicious at the same time.

As dark chocolate contains a lot of iron, eating it with foods high in Vitamin C ensures that all the nutrients are absorbed and you get all the benefits. You have the best of both world here; you get all the iron, vitamins etc and it tastes absolutely gorgeous as well.

I used to work as a chocolatier, so you can imagine how much chocolate I used to eat! As I ate dark chocolate complimented with strawberries, blueberries, nuts etc I never put any weight on. A blood test also proved that I had the optimum level of minerals and vitamins in my system.

There is now no excuse for filling up on cheap and nasty milk chocolate which will just add pounds. A healthier bar of dark chocolate which has fruit and nuts in it will do the same job but without any weight gain.

One last thing, just because you know it’s healthier doesn’t mean you can pig out, be sensible!

In addition to chocolate, the author also frequently gives advice about metal roofing materials and metal roofing manufacturer.

The Winners In The Realm Of Underground Sodas

Friday, March 12th, 2010

Who else apart from me is a cola addict? Don’t be ashamed, there’s 1000’s of us who drink far too much soda, but it tastes so good that we can’t help ourselves.

Although cola is my favorite I don’t stop there and will try any flavored beverage that I can get my hands on. I get such a buzz from finding a little known drink, trying it, and finding that it’s delicious.

Sugar is sugar, its not fructose, sucrose or any other of the ridiculous names they give it. They then try and pass these processed substances off as natural ingredients. I buy soda that says sugar.

For whatever reasons, there are some great tasting sodas out there that never receive the recognition that they deserve. Here are a few that I think you’ll enjoy.

One of our most popular beverages in the US is root beer, and Virgil’s make the tastiest root beer that I have ever tasted. Many other people think this also, judging by the amount of awards this drink has won.

Another gem that Virgil’s produces is the simply delicious black cherry vanilla cream soda. Trust me; this drink tastes every bit as good as it sounds.

A great cola without any stupidly named ingredients is by Boylan’s and it’s a traditional tasting sugar cane cola. This has pure cane sugar and other true natural ingredients which will really give your taste buds a treat.

Last but certainly not least are the delicious green tea infused drinks that Steaz make. The fruit flavors combine with the green tea to create a soda unlike anything you will have ever tasted before. There are so many varieties available that you are bound to find one that you like. Orange, lemon & lime, root beer and raspberry are just some of the flavors you should try.

The writer also often shares knowledge on products like alphabet cookie cutters and custom made rubber stamps.

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Everyone agrees food cooked on barbecue grills has a special flavor unsurpassed by foods cooked indoors. Perhaps it is the fresh outdoor air or the char broiled taste from the hot coals, but either way, it is delicious. And grilling out is relaxing and enjoyable. Today grilling out on a barbecue grill is a favourite pastime and a great way to cook everyday meals.

Because of this you will find that barbecue grill manufacturers have started to introduce barbecue grills with a very wide price range along with a multitude of different fuel options along with an assortment of configurations with the addition of some new grill accessories to choose from to make you the chef in your backyard.

Common designs include portable gas or charcoal models, pedestal designs, and others. You can also have a custom looking built-in grill where the top drops in to the space created for it. These designs are very modern and contemporary looking. Most of the different designs come in your choice of fuel options, as well. You can get barbecue grills that run on electricity, propane gas, natural gas, or charcoal.

Accessories for barbecue grills include smoker boxes and warming ovens. In addition, you can get rotisseries to roast food on a spit. And you can also get side burners, perfect for cooking your side dishes while your main dish cooks on the grill.

Whether you select a basic barbecue grill or a model with lots of bells and whistles, you can purchase barbecue grills in many different venues. Do some research to help you select the best design to meet your needs at a price you can afford.

For instance, how much grill space will you need? Will you need a large surface to accommodate quantities of food for a crowd for social gatherings? Also, think about what type of fuel you prefer or what type of fuel is most readily available in your area.

It is a good idea to write up a list of must-have features before you make your purchase. Then consider other features that are desirable but not absolutely necessary. And finally, think about how often you will require each feature or how often you will actually use it. Also, think about whether your barbecue grill will get season or year-round use. Here are some specific features you may want to consider:

High quality materials and sturdy construction

A build-in thermometer

Rust proof components

Removable, cleanable drip pans and trays for ashes

Having At Least Two Heat Zones on Your Gas Grill

Tasty Ingredients To Go With Pizza

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Living in New York is a great thing, especially since I have easy access to what so many people say is the greatest pizza in the entire world. Just about every commercial neighborhood has a pizzeria every two or three blocks.

As a result, I’ve had the privilege of enjoying a very wide variety of slices and styles. During my time spent eating this delicious treat, I’ve come across some pretty interesting types and I’d like to share a few of them with you today.

It doesn’t matter if you would like to find a place near you that has these available or if you just want to make them for your family; you will be very appreciative of these kinds of pizza when being creative with the preparation of food is something that interests you.

Have you ever gotten to try a slice of mac and cheese pizza? If not, you should absolutely give it a try. I know that it probably seems a little unusual, but it tastes so awesome. When the slice has the macaroni breaded on top, it is even more yummy.

Another very popular slice at anyone of the city’s top pizzerias is a spinach artichoke variety. This is like your typical spinach style slice, but it has artichokes and a creamy blend of cheese throughout. Many call it the best they’ve ever had.

Finally, you have got to try a buffalo chicken pizza if you are like me and really like buffalo chicken. It is a hot crust with the chicken on top and I know you are going to find it to be super good.

You can put some blue cheese onto the slice or have a separate dip to enhance the flavor of it. You will see that it is really good with the crust.

Hopefully one of these three creative pizza ideas ends up inspiring you. I love each of the three, and I’d love to see you enjoy them all as much as I do.

Besides cooking, the writer additionally frequently writes on cheap maternity clothing and maternity bathing suits.

Wonderful Dessert Concepts That Don’t Take A Lot Of Effort

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

There is an art to dessert making, and if you get it exactly right, it will be that course that you remember most about a meal. Forget the Cheese and biscuits; a delicious dessert really finishes of a meal in style.

A dessert at the end of a meal is a necessity for me, so you can imagine how many I’ve eaten in my time. Here are just a few that I have enjoyed.

Some of these you will instantly recognize, others you may not. The great thing about a dessert is that you can give them your own personal twist, so why not get online for the basic recipes and have a shot at making them?

One of my all time favorites which will always have a place on my dessert resume is the classic mousse made from white chocolate. Those to tend to stick to a traditional chocolate mousse are more often than not pleasantly surprised when they try this version.

Fruit and chocolate go so well together, I don’t know what more people don’t put them together. The fruity drizzles you can by these days meld do well with the chocolate in the mousse.

For me, a dessert should look as good at it tastes, and some desserts these days are works of art. A simple wine or martini glass gives you so many opportunities to create a desert cocktail using ice cream.

If you are having guests round to dinner, why not really let your imaginations run riot and produce colorful desserts in a glass that look so good, the compliments will flood in.

This final one really shows off your artistic flair. Cut a mango so it looks like a rose and fill it with ice cream, simple yet stunning. There are many instructional videos online to show you how easy it is.

If you are a mango fan you will love this, and the combination of the mango flavor with either sorbet or ice cream is sublime.
