Going with a place or event that is geared towards fun is pretty important, since you will be able to relax and be yourself around your date.

Here are a few ideas that might help to break the ice really effectively. Consider any one of these if you have a big night coming up and you’re stressing over what to do.

One fun idea is to go to a live event. Whether it’s something like a comedy club or a coffee shop with live music, you might not be able to talk much while you’re there, but you’ll have plenty to discuss once it’s done.

This will impress upon your date that you know how to have fun and like to do things that are interesting and maybe new to him or her.

Next, going miniature golfing is always lots of fun. Both of you will have a very enjoyable time playing the game as well as chatting with each other all through it since it will not be noisy.

Lastly, has the thought of going to a park and having a picnic crossed your mind? The two of you can share a good meal and easily chat the day away while thoroughly enjoying the beautiful sunshine outside in the fresh air. Your date will most likely have a great time and think that you are wonderful.

Just about every guy loves a good bachelor party. Few things are more enjoyable than a weekend to spend with your closest male friends one last time before the bachelor gets married.

You want to go for something that will leave an indelible memory that will rise up through all the alcohol consumption and onto the brains of those that attend. It is always important to plan your trip well in advance and this one is no different. You need to come up with a plan that considers both entertainment and cost.

I have three great places that are not the usual for bachelor parties but may strike you as interesting choices. They are not the ones that you would have had suggested to you before but you will definitely have a laugh at any one of them.

To start off I have listed Austin, Texas. It is perfect for those that live closer to the West or the South of the country. The most popular is Las Vegas but Austin is a great substitute if you don\’t have a huge budget to spend.

Not only does it have practical prices but also the money spent goes a long way with good weather and a pretty active nightlife and is a real alternative to Vegas.

Why not go international with a trip to Montreal? If you\’ve never been there, you\’ll undoubtedly be impressed with the city, which has undertones of Paris and other European metropolises.

Nobody dislikes Montreal, it\’s just a great place to visit and could provide the difference your looking for with your bachelor party.

Last but not least is Nashville, the capital of country music. This place is definitely worth visiting with all of it\’s splendid places to eat out and it\’s entertaining nightlife. This is definitely the place to go if you want something unique.

I know they are an unusual bunch of places to consider for a bachelor party but if you\’re stuck for ideas then do look into the ones mentioned and you might find you have an exceptional bachelor weekend.

Aside from travel, this writer also frequently blogs on discount French table linens and discounts on wedding table linens.

Top Tips For First Time Boat Charter

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

If you want to make your coastal or island vacation really special then hire a boat. You can make it a real day to remember. If you’ve never considered this before then make sure you consider the following points so that your dream day doesn’t turn to a disaster.

If you have chartered a “bareboat” it means you do not have anyone to sail it for you. If you don’t have the minimum qualification yourself you will need to hire a skipper if necessary crew. Check with you charter company who may be able to organise some salty sea dogs for you.

If you’ve opted for a power boat then you will need to take into account that the fuel is normally charged as an extra on top of the charter fee.

The effects of the sun are up to three times as powerful at sea as on land. Make sure you take a hat and some sun block. The ladies might like to know you can tan three times the normal speed at sea.

Make sure you take snorkel and goggles there’s nothing like diving in off a boat into turquoise waters. Always check for jelly fish before jumping in.

Always listen to the safety warnings at the start of the journey. Children must always be supervised and in life jackets. You may consider weather you should take younger children at all.

Always tip the skipper or if you’re going ashore for lunch you might consider inviting him along. It’s normal to tip the skipper for about 10% of the charter, a bit less if you’ve invited him along for lunch. Often if the skipper has suggested a restaurant for lunch he’ll be getting a kick back from the owners which might include lunch on the house.

There’s the basics, most of all have fun – if it goes well you will have one of the most amazing days of you life!
