Once upon a time, it was customary to give out so-called ‘gourmet food’ gift baskets. Have you ever gotten one of those cheese logs? How about a cheese wheel, specifically the ones wrapped in red wax? Or how about even the processed sausages?Or my all-time favorite, the pre-processed sausages. These types of gift baskets used to be a lot more common during the holidays, but some people did give them out for other special occasions. They didn’t say much, but when they did talk they said “I only care about you as much as this piece of dehydrated beef jerky disguised as ‘dinner sausage’”. Continue reading →
