Sunday, March 28th, 2010

The simple solution to even the most complex health problems lies in juice fasting and detoxification. Because of the advanced lifestyles that we are accustomed to living in the West today, we are consuming toxins at a rate that gets more and more alarming every year. This results in a body that is stressed out and performing less than optimally. Sadly, you don’t have to look much further than the nearest sidewalk to see the evidence of clogged systems that lack the necessary energy to perform even basic house-keeping. What do you see? That’s right– overweight, undernourishment, ill health and lack of vitality! Toxicity is the culprit here. However, fear not. The solution is simple… CLEANSE and DETOXIFY!

This is like a shot of liquid nutrition straight into your cells which supercharges your health like you’ve never experienced! But before we get into the benefits of juice fasting, let’s get a little background info on just why juice fasting as a detoxification method is so powerful.

Juice fasting diets simply flush your body with living nutrients from raw vegetables and fruits which gets all your body’s nutritional needs met while bypassing the need to digest solid matter. Because the nutrition is “juiced” you will save that energy to use to detox your entire system. Now your body can start doing what it does best and kick start that cleansing mechanism into gear. It is as natural to is as breathing, and as crucial to your health.

Scientists report that the body can use up to a whopping seventy five percent of it’s energy on digestion! Just imagine what that energy can do for you when you remove the need to break down food and give your body the opportunity to use that energy for cleansing! That’s right, your body gets to go to work performing its powerful cleansing mechanism and starts rooting out toxins leaving you with soaring vitality and sparkling clean health!

Wild animals living in nature do this automatically. We were designed to do it as well. However, out lives are so full of excess and hectic schedules that we seldom give our precious bodies an opportunity to do what they naturally do so well– restore us back to perfect health! They require us to give them a long needed break or else that powerful cleansing capacity is kept dormant.

Consuming our daily nutrition in the form of juices chock full of healing properties gives our bodies an abundance of the “good stuff” to aid in removing the “bad”. This nutrition that is available to our cells instantly as it immediately enters the bloodstream with every sip and reserves the energy that would normally be used for digestion for cleansing and restoring health. And don’t think that you have to wait weeks or months to see results. They are often immediately visible. You’ll welcome comments from friends and family as they notice how light and bright you have become!

It is indeed unfortunate that the fast pace and advanced nature of our lives places something so natural and necessary tour health on the back burner. The results are often disastrous as our bodies store toxins to deal with at a later time. This creates a long laundry list of dis-ease– anything from general malaise to serious conditons like heart disease, diabetes and cancer. A toxic situation that is prolonged can also lead to serious health conditions. This is why detoxification is crucial these days and especially as our world advances. Fortunately juice fasting for detox is Mother Nature’s powerful solution.

Easily Eliminate Unhealthy Cravings With Green Smoothies

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

I’d like to begin by stating that the information in this article is just my opinion which is based on data I have read regarding health and from more than a decade of eating and living the way I have daily. Couple that with my blood work results every 6 months which indicates no deficiencies, I think that this information is valid. It could be that it just works for me, my genetic makeup and my body type, I can’t say for certain. However, just like smoking cigarettes could probably affect each one of us with varying degrees of health negatives, the green smoothie diet, I feel, will certainly affect each one of us with various degrees of health positives. Try it for yourself, after discussing it with your doctor of course.

The body is designed to heal itself right? Why is it that so many people are becoming and staying sick? Perhaps it is in inaccurate statement that the body is truly designed to heal itself? No! The trouble is that people today a) don’t supply the body with the right amount of raw materials, by way of diet for the most part, it requires to heal itself and b) we constantly bombard our body with junk that hinders the performance of the limited number of essential resources that we do give it.

I’m a huge advocate of raw foods. To suggest that heating foods past a certain temperature destroying required enzymes that are significant to digestion makes plenty of sense to me. Further, it is implied that to get the most out of our foods that we must chew it until it’s completely liquefied. Our body has troubles handling big chunks of food. Also, I really feel that we can survive with a a diet of chiefly fruits and dark green leafy vegetables, with of course some healthy fats. In regards to healthy fats, avocados, soaked nuts and seeds is all I consume.

My main meals each an every day are composed of lots of raw fruits and greens in the form of green smoothies. Smoothies, being essentially liquefied, my body does a great job of assimilating the nutrients.

A giant hurdle for some people when changing the way they eat, and a huge one for me is addressing unhealthy cravings. Like someone that has addiction to drugs or alcohol must go through a detox in an effort to heal, we essentially must to do the same thing. Our cells are made up of stuff from the food that we have ingested in the past. The body generally craves much of the same unhealthy foods that contribute to the contents of each one of the sick cells in our body. For drug detoxes, often times, sauna therapy is used to sweat out the drugs. This could help eliminate the physical cravings for the drug which will allow the individual a better chance at sobriety. For us, adjusting our eating habits may influence the clearing of toxic foods as well which can be quickly removed in our poop, sweat and perhaps urine. However, we still might crave those foods while some of the contaminants in our cells are still there.

I have found that right away after having the first swallow of my green smoothie the cravings for greasy foods, meat, sweets, salt, etc started to dwindle. After I was finished drinking the smoothie, the cravings passed completely and I would be content. The concern then was that the unhealthy cravings would return as I grew hungry. So I started to make certain I was on top of it and would have another green smoothie ready and waiting before the cravings would reoccur, or not too long after they started. The cravings sooner or later subsided for good as I cleaned out my body. After that I started to crave greens instead!

Now, I would like to ask, do you want to remain sick and overweight or do you want to look into a better diet providing your body everything that it needs? Learn more about green smoothies, check out this resource -> Green Smoothies Recipe. I discuss more about healthy living and the raw food lifestyle on my blog here: http://rawfoodhealthwatch.com.

How A Raw Food Diet Plan Can Benefit You

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Thousands of years ago humans ate raw foods. Why? Well, that’s simple. They had no choice. It was a matter of survival. These days, obviously, things are bit different. All the same, though, a raw food diet plan is not a bad thing. In fact, they’re becoming more and more popular as a way to stay healthy and fit.

As far as understanding how a raw food diet works, you can’t until you understand what it is. It may sound self-explanatory, but it’s not. There are certain things about it that you really need to understand, if you expect to start and make the most of a raw food eating plan.

Defining Raw Food Diets:

When you think of raw food diets, you probably think of fruits and vegetables. That’s part of it, of course. People on raw food diets can eat other things, though. For example, there are seeds, sprouts and dried fruits to consider. Also, some people who do raw food diets eat raw fish, eggs and meats. So, it’s not as boring a diet as some people might think.

You also have to have an open view, if you want to be successful at a raw food diet. You need to understand that it’s not black and white. There’s actually a gray area. For example, partially cooking some foods is totally acceptable on a raw food diet.

Raw Food Benefits:

Of all of the raw food benefits, time is a big one. It takes much less time to prepare raw food diet meals and yet you can get all of the nutrition you need from them. In fact, you can often just take them with you and eat them on the go. Some of them, such as fruits and nuts, don’t require any preparation at all. In a day and age when everyone is so busy, that’s valuable time saved.

You can also use a raw food diet to lose weight, believe it or not. Plus, you can increase your body’s energy supply in two completely different, but somewhat related, ways. First of all, the nutrients and minerals provided by the raw food will give you energy. Secondly, though, a healthy diet will mean that you sleep better at night and, therefore, feel more energized throughout the day.

Another benefit of a raw food diet is that it can actually reduce stress. Not only that, but it can give your mood a major boost. So, if you feel sad or stressed on a regular basis, you might notice a major change for the better on a raw food diet.

Those are just some of the many great benefits of raw food diets. So, if you think that you could be helped by a raw food diet plan, do some research. Talk to your doctor, too. That way, you’ll be prepared to start down the path to a healthier, happier lifestyle.

Free Weight Loss Plans

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

If you\’re seriously interested in knowing about free weight loss plans, you need to think beyond the basics. This informative article takes a closer look at things you need to know about raw food and weight loss tips.

Protein acts as a building block that your body uses to build lean muscle. A good way to increase the amount of protein that is in your diet is to take a protein supplement. Protein is the body\’s building block to repair tissues, help muscles grow, and to create blood cells and disease-fighting immunoglobulins. Protein foods also provide us with B vitamins, iron and zinc. Protein may be primarily responsible for the repair and rebuilding of muscle tissue but it can only carry out this job when the other nutrients are present in the diet. A diet that is deficient in carbs will force the body to break down protein into energy which is not really suitable when trying to build muscle.

Fried foods are high in carbs and calories. They are responsible for excess flab in your body. Women with anorexia and OCD may become obsessed with exercise, dieting, and food. They often develop compulsive rituals (weighing every bit of food, cutting it into tiny pieces, or putting it into tiny containers). Women have been known to experience breast tenderness, too.

Now that we\’ve covered those aspects of raw food and weight loss tips, let\’s turn to some of the other factors that need to be considered.

Protein and fruits and vegetables are the cornerstone to a healthy diet, with a few whole-grain carbs thrown in. The ratio of protein should always exceed that of carbs. Protein is a critical component of the diet during pregnancy, necessary for the proper growth and development of the baby, as well as for the amniotic tissues, placenta, and the mother\’s increased blood volume. Insufficient protein during pregnancy can increase the risk of having a low birth weight baby. Protein promotes weight loss because it\’s more satiating than carbs and your body burns more calories digesting it. I\’ll also drink lots of water (at least 75 ounces a day).

Women constantly see these images and are instinctively comparing themselves to a collection of overly airbrushed objects of male desire. I was saddened to read the article on this site by Hannah Whittaker which showed the powerful effect imagery like this can have in contributing to her eating disorders. Women\’s glossy magazines are full of tips on how celebrities have lost significant weight or maintain a skinny figure. Obsession with celebrity bodies is prevalent in all other European countries.

Start by focusing on getting the recommended five servings of fruit and vegetables each day. It sounds like a lot, but it is well worth it, because at the same time you are meeting your fibre goals and feeling more satisfied from the volume of food. Start by helping yourself a little. Before you go check what you need. Started in 2007, the site was the cumulative effort of fitness experts, medical professionals and customer service specialists that together were looking to create a lifestyle.

When word gets around about your command of facts about raw food and weight loss tips, others who need to know about free weight loss plans will start to actively seek you out.

Raw Food Diet And Weight Loss

Thursday, December 24th, 2009

When most people think of raw food diet weight loss tips, what comes to mind is usually basic information that\’s not particularly interesting or beneficial. But there\’s a lot more to natural weight loss than just the basics.

Eating more often is a great way to speed up your metabolism. Digestion takes up a huge amount of energy and you can burn quite a few calories jusy by processing what you have eaten! Eat organic whenever you can and avoid the hormones and antibiotics. Re-stock your gut with probiotics either via supplements or fermented foods (sauerkraut, kimchee, cheeses, yogurt, kefir, raw milk…). Eat fat you say? Now why on earth would I want to do a stupid thing like that?

Eating a big meal at dinner causes excess stomach acid production. Drinking milk could be a quick fix to the acid reflux problem. Eating lots of fat-free and low-fat dairy products, such as yogurt and cheese, will help prevent osteoporosis. If you don\’t want to spend a little bit of time in the sun to get more vitamin D, which is crucial to the absorption of calcium, try consuming more fortified milk and cereals before turning to supplements. Eat six meals a day. When you eat a large meal then don\’t eat again for several hours, your body is going to hold on to stored fat for energy and you are going to become hungry.

Truthfully, the only difference between you and natural weight loss experts is time. If you\’ll invest a little more time in reading, you\’ll be that much nearer to expert status when it comes to raw food diet weight loss tips.

Cut down on your beer intake, but try to enjoy lighter beers over heavier ones. If you\’re having a cocktail, try to make it with diet soda or on the rocks as opposed to fruit juices or regular soda. Cut back on your calories. Being overweight or obese is a risk factor for high cholesterol.

Before ever committing to any purchase we would advise that you read the information detailed on the website extremely carefully, as a responsible retailer your health and wellbeing is our number one priority and we would strongly recommend that you seek medical advice if you are unsure of the suitability of our products for your particular requirements.

Weight loss in smokers may therefore result from a dual mechanism involving increased catabolism and reduced energy consumption. Weight loss treatment, often known as obesity treatment, depends on your level of obesity, overall health condition, and motivation to lose weight. Treatment may include a combination of diet, exercise, behaviour modification, and sometimes prescription medication. Weight loss had a target of 4.5 kg during the first six months, maintained over a further 30 months. Individual counselling sessions were followed by 14 group meetings, and thereafter six bi-weekly sessions, and then monthly sessions.

Now you can be a confident expert on raw food diet weight loss tips. OK, maybe not an expert. But you should have something to bring to the table next time you join a discussion on natural weight loss.
